How to Clean and Store Your Vibrator

Taking good care of your vibrator is key to making it last longer. With the right cleaning and storage, you can keep it in great condition and ready to go whenever you need it.

This guide will show you exactly how to clean and store your vibrator to keep it in top shape for as long as possible.

🧴 Pre-Cleaning Preparation

First, make sure your vibrator is turned off.

You’ll also want to have a mild, non-irritating cleaner on hand.

You can optionally prepare a bowl of warm water as well, if you’d like.

Just be sure to avoid cleaners with alcohol or bleach, as they can be too harsh and might damage the vibrator’s surface and material.

🧽 Cleaning the Vibrator

If your vibrator is not waterproof, use a clean, soft cloth or sponge dampened with water, or a moist paper towel to gently wipe down all parts of the vibrator, especially the areas that have come into contact with your body. You can use either the warm water you prepared earlier or cold water for this step.

If your vibrator is waterproof, you can rinse it directly under the faucet. Just be sure to avoid getting water into the battery or charging port. Even if the vibrator is waterproof, don’t soak it for extended periods, as this could affect the lifespan of the internal electronics.

You can add a small amount of cleanser as needed during the cleaning process to ensure it’s thoroughly cleaned.

✨ Disinfection

You can use a disinfectant spray designed for adult toys to eliminate bacteria. Simply spray it evenly over the vibrator’s surface, or follow the instructions provided on the product.

🌬️ Air Drying

After cleaning or disinfecting, it’s best to let your vibrator air dry naturally. Avoid using towels or paper towels to dry it, as this can introduce bacteria and lead to recontamination.

📦 Storage

It’s recommended to store your vibrator in a clean storage bag to prevent dust and bacteria buildup. If you don’t have a storage bag, you can place it in a clean box, making sure to avoid any pressure that could cause deformation or damage.

Then, store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight or high temperatures, as these can cause the vibrator’s materials or internal electronics to degrade over time.
